Spectacles Refund

Hi I went for my eye test and decided to get contacts and a pair of glasses. My budget was £150 but somehow I ended up buying a pair of glasses worth £250.
I know the boots website provide for a cooling off period does this apply to the shops as well is it possible for one to cancel an order made just 24 hours previously and is the deposit refundable?

You have no right to cancel the order.
If you are quick, I imagine the shop might try to be helpful.
    Go and see them.

Goods ordered from a website have a statutory 7 day "cooling off period", (with some exceptions) but you do not get this statutory protection for goods purchased in a shop.

Even the 7 day period is unlikely to apply in this case as the goods have been personalised (made to order)

If you ask nicely the shop may cancel that order and reorder you some cheaper ones if thats what you want,
Just say that you got carried away and really cant afford the £250 ones.
    You can always try.
Was it the frames that were expensive or did you go for thinner lenses/ varifocals etc.
Talk to them. Thats the best way.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.
