Having closed a couple of credit cards, I applied this morning to Halifax Credit Card. At the end of application was given a reference, so not "yes" neither "no", but also was asked to register my details to their online banking with a username, password etc... so I can log in onto their website but no better at knowing if its a yes or no.
Has anyone experienced that with Equifax?
Thanks

I applied in December for one and got a reference number too, with no explicit yes or no. However, It displayed the credit limit given on screen. Received the credit agreement a few days later so it was an instant decision. How long did you wait from closing your existing accounts to applying for this one?0

One is already closed and showing, the other one not showing but account have had for a while with a ridiculous limit so it's not that which will make the difference.0

Have just received credit agreement to sign & return, no mention of the credit limit given so hoping that it will be a decent one...0

Waiting for the credit card to arrive now but they already have set up account online & they've given me a credit limit of £4,100 with an APR of 12.9% so not too bad.0

Not bad atall! That's a great APR especially in these here financial times
