Hi,
I'm in the process of moving into a 1 bedroom apartment, and in the apartment it runs off Economy 7 heating on a NIE pay & go metre. Does anyone know roughly how much i'd be spending a week?
Thanks

Hard to give an accurate answer, try posting in the NI forum, i would budget for £30 per week in winter at least. If all your electric usage runs thru the meter it maybe more, will depend on what you run inside the house.Norn Iron Club member No 3530

Press tye buttons on the meter- it will cycle through a display telling the day rate, night rate and the weeky standing charge
All will be revealed

Maybe i would be better off getting a cheap heater rather than using the economy 7.
Could u reccommend a cheap heater to use?? Is Hallogen heaters the best?

If you have E7 then you are stuck with electric- unless you have gas fitted.
E7 can be used wisely- I tried explaining to a tenant last week how to use storage heaters, but it was too much hassle for her to turn the boost down every night and up when it was needed in the evening.
If you use your washing maching at night (after 11pm) the price will be far cheaper
Use the storage heating wiselly and it can be cheaper then gas and electirc combinedbaldly going on...0
