Luckily I know I am allergic to flea bites as I once moved into a severely infested house. Also one benefit of an all white cat, you may see the hairs on all your dark clothes but you will also notice fleas or flea-dirt more quickly. I live in a city centre so few other animals or green spaces about BUT we have had rats in the rear courtyard!

Again, not strictly true as fleas live in the house and not on the animal. The only time you really notice fleas on the animal is when you have a pretty bad infestation. Just the odd one or two jumping on for a meal and you wouldn't know they were there. The cat would remove any traces of faeces with grooming.

so no:eek: chance of being in an RTA....

please read before posting I wrote housecat (moggie)

Well then you need to make your posts clearer. Half of your text is in the title bar!!

Your post indicated (to me) that you were talking about your average household moggie, as opposed to a pedigree cat. If you meant indoor cat you should have said so!

People can hardly be blamed for mis-reading badly written posts! :wall:

  • Those who have indoor-only cats and are saying they don't need to buy flea treatment.... just remember you can bring fleas into your home on clothing/shoes etc so you're not totally immune to them ;)

True, and I am aware of the slight risk and that's why I have a stash of Frontline Plus secreted away just in case. I've had Stanley for about three years and no fleas so far, so it's been a whole lot cheaper than treating him regularly.
