Thanks for this! I have 4 pairs of Stinger which are absolutely lovely but very expensive these days. Mum's been wanting a pair of Bronte's for ages though so these are a fab price!

    Em xXx
:D Mummy to two gorgeous LO's and always in search of a bargain!!! :D
  • I bought some stingers as I thought they were supposed to be good. they have lasted a month and the heel has collapsed! I had bronte's last year and they were rubbish too. I guess uggs is the only way to go for me, but so expensive.

Thank you so so much. Got some low in black. Hurrah for having big feet for once.
I'll now match my 2 yr old who also has the same (bought from Jones the Bootmaker in their sale for £20).

    I'm such a happy girl!:D

You won't be able to turn your boots down because merino wool looks like cotton wool. I have both sheepskin and merino and there's a huge difference when it comes to quality, I personally wouldn't buy merino boots again. Last year I got my Emu stingers on Amazon for £42 and it was around this time they reduced them to silly money so keep your eyes open.

Post a link to where we can buy the stingers for 50% off and I may be interested! Otherwise what's your point?

My first pair of Emus were stingers which are excellent quality, hard wearing and water/stain resistant. When I saw a pair of brontes in a shop I couldn't get over the complete lack of quality compared to the stingers, if I had seen the brontes first I would have never bought from the Emu brand. My first stingers about a year a go cost me £39 from Amazon and my latest pair bought about 2 months ago cost me £37 from amazon, my daughters stingers were £27 from amazon.

So to sum up my point is that there will be bargain prices around for a much better quality prduct which will last longer and save you money in the long run.

No need to get so hot under the collar as I said this is only my opinion, just wanted to make sure no one was confusing these with the stingers.

Alot of people don't want to turn down see alot of fluff look. Which i can totally understand.
And as for quality, EMU are very good. Just because they're lined with Merino wool and not sheepskin, that is no marker to say they aren't good quailty. They are just as warm.
I've had my pair of brown high EMU's for two years and they look fine, just a bit grubby which is to be expected.
Don't pee on a great deal :rotfl:
