I have purchased a tv from a company called scan international and it has broken 4 times and they are refusing to exchange or refund the product what can I do? They do not want to know, and have repeatedly told me its not their problem if my tv I purchased from them doesn't work I should take it up with the manufacturer.

The company you bought it from are responsible.

When did you buy it? What make? What model?

As above, more details please. Did you buy it from these guys http://www.scan.co.uk/ or a different company?
  • Depends on the circumstances and warranty. If it's a recent purchase that has casued problems and bought on a credit card just do a Section 75 (only if it cost £100 or more) to dispute the charge because of the retailers failure to sort the problem.

On the strength of their customer service and knowledge of consumer law perhaps they should rename their company SCAM International.
