has anyone had any problems with the inbuilt sat navs in the newer model mercs?

a friend of mine has one and he always seems to be complaining about the discs for uploading the data and that his data wont save and has to use them every time he starts his car.

is this supposed to happen or is he just a bit dim...?

anyone else had any problems with these?

btw who knows how he managed to get into the job he is in now and able to be buying a new merc, hes a few chips short of a happy meal if you ask me, which is why i have a feeling its wrong doing rather than the system!

Is that why he hasn't been back to his friendly local Merc dealer and asked?

yea i would think so.

im thinking of ringing them myself, its sort of a "settle and argument" kinda situation. he thinks the cars broke, i think hes doing it wrong! but i wont see him for a few days and then i can have a look for myself.

hes been known to do these kinda things though. technology doesn't agree with him! think hes managed to break every mobile phone hes had too!

If the sat nav is broken, perhaps he can't find his way back to the dealer.

quite true, he may very well be lost right now...

thought id ask though incase others had experienced any valid problems so that i dont end up looking the idiot, hes got it down too well, dont want to de-throne him!
