Legal rights with exchanged products

Hi all,
I purchased a computer component about 3 years ago which came with a 3 year manufacturers warranty associated with it. Since it was purchased it's been replaced under that warranty almost every year, the last replacement lasted 2 weeks!
It's now being exchanged again (I'm paying P&P for these exchanges) but my worry is that with the warranty window due to close if the replacement lasts a few weeks then I'm going to need to splash out on a new component pretty soon. To my mind there is a fault with the product itself but proving that will be tough so my question is as follows.
If the component is replaced do I get any additional implied warranty through the sale of goods act (i.e. a legal recourse) or is it down to the people I purchased it from to do the honourable thing? Do I automatically get an additional warranty on the exchanged part?

Warranty lasts from the date of the original purchase.
You have had three year's use of the product (or the replacements). You need to decide whether three years is a reasonable life for that product.
If it is, move on.
If it is not, you need to take up the issue with whoever sold you the product, not the manufacturer.

What is the product?...why not tell us? Is it a hard drive?0
