Car Insurance - regular use of other cars?

My mother is exchanging her DLA benefit(?) for a Motability car and, because she doesn't drive now, she wants to add me as a 'named driver' - in addition to my 75 year-old father who will be the main driver of the vehicle.
Now as I recall, when obtaining quotes for my own insurance, one of the questions asked is "do you have regular use of any other vehicle(s)?"
I normally answer this question by saying that "I can drive any other vehicle at 3rd party cover on my own policy, and I also 'occasionally' drive a pool car from work - but, no, I don't have regular use of any *particular* vehicle(s)."
My question is this...will I be 'penalised' when renewing my own insurance next year because I am now named as an additional driver on another policy? After all, it could be construed as a little more than 'occasional' - couldn't it?
Thanks for any help/experiences related.

you will probably not be penalised the reason this question is asked is that if you do drive another car on a regular basic this means you are driving the car proposed for insurance less therefore there is a lesser risk of that car being in an accident therefore not putting you premium up and possibly reducing it.
When i tock out my insurance i said yes to this as i am insured on my sisters car and it took about £40 off my quote0 -
As malky says, the question is used to determin your driving experience - the more you drive the better the driver you are (in theory/ generally) but also ultimately the more chance you have of having an accident. If you are driving another car regularly you get the driving experience however dont expose your insurers to the risk of a claim and so generally it will reduce your premiumsAll posts made are simply my own opinions and are neither professional advice nor the opinions of my employers

The only way that it would make any difference to your policy would be if there was a young driver on your policy, who was down as not having the use of any other vehicles, but apart from that, it should not affect your premium.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature.
