Faulty Nixon watch

Hi everyone

Last year i bought my boyfriend a watch from nixon for his 21st birthday. It cost me £230. Within 6 months it had broken and I was advised by email to take it to our nearest dealership for them to send it away for repair. I'm in university with limited money and the nearest dealer is almost 70 miles away costing £20 for each return journey on the train. However it did happen at the time that i would be in the area so was able to take it back. They were very efficient and we had no problems with them at all.

That was until a week or two before my boyfriends 22nd birthday when the same fault started to occur again. This time i am unable to get to the dealer without it costing me £40 in total to take it and then collect it (I'm also now in my third year and have limited time with deadlines coming out of my ears!!) Thats also assuming that they will take it again. Their website says to return it to the place that i bought it but I purchased it online on their official website. I have emailed the company 3 times since this problem arose and have had no reply. I just wanted to know if there was anyway that they could send a courier out as this is the second time within a year.

It has now been almost a month since we first made contact with them and i have heard nothing. I can't find anymore contact details for them.

So basically I was wondering if anyone had any advice for me. My boyfriends really disappointed that he can't wear his watch and I'm even more upset that I spent so much money on a product which has failed again :(

many thanks

    Why don't you post it?
Special Delivery is cheaper than getting the train isn't it?

Is this where you bought it from? http://uk.nixonnow.com/home/
If so, there is info on that website telling you to contact your local dealer.
It also tells you how to find your local dealer.

If that isn't where you bought it, please supply a better clue to where you did buy it.
  • Thanks for the quick response

I did say in my post that i bought it online at the official (nixonnow) website and that I know where my local dealer is but it happens to be 70 miles and a £40 round journey away. Also with an increasing amount of uni work to do I really don't have the time to go.

All over the website it has the email that i have been emailing but no other usable contact information. There are 3 addresses on the website one for the US, one for Australia and one for France. It also says not to send returns or repairs to them until you have a repair code sent by email!

Please re-read the first line of my earlier reply.

I do realise you do not yet have authority to send it back to Nixon, but why not phone your local dealer and ask him if you can post it to him?
