Hi I know this is daft but i want to make sure. I ve never done film rental on line before so thats my excuse lol but when ive selected my choice on the free trial one do i need to click something to activate it or do i just sign out and wait for the films to arrive. Thank you in advance

emerald - it's not daft, I'm new to this as well and was thinking the same thing.

It seems you just wait and it shouldn't take more than one working day until at least one of the films changes from 'awaiting dispatch' to 'dispatched'. I'd prefer it if there was a nice 'confirm' button to press though

I've only put one film in my list though - I thought if I put two or more that might be an excuse for them to send me two, thus kicking in the £3.99 charge (on the package I went for, that charge kicks in either after two weeks or after they have sent you two DVDs - whichever is sooner).. having read the other users' responses, I'm cancelling as soon as I send the first DVD back, and should still get the £18 via quidco

You have to put 10 films in the list to activate your account, then after they've sent one you can remove them all. If you only have 1 in your list then they might not have it in stock and it will eat away at your 14 day trial.

You don't have to call to cancel, just wait till 10pm and cancel online when the phone operators have gone home.

This is how it goes:

Click through quidco
Signup at lovefilm site to £3.99/month package
Add 10 films to your list
When first film is sent to you, delete the remaining 9 films from your list
Send film back as soon as you get it
Cancel after 10pm online so you don't have to call them
Get £22 cashback
