Spend £3.99, make £18 via quidco / lovefilm & watch 4 films?

edited 20 February 2010 at 12:29PM in It's gone, but was it any good?
Has anyone tried this because I could be reading the terms and conditions incorrectly?

If you sign up to the lovefilm 2 week free trial via quidco, go for the £3.99 a month option, then you get one film for free (and then you can just cancel without paying a penny), and if you get the second one then you are entitled to start paying £3.99 per month, which then kicks in the £18 quidco cashback.

Get two films out for that month and then cancel, and unless I'm mistaken you've just made £14.01 and watched 4 films.

Have I got this right?

Edit: Thanks to Williham for making this clearer, this is what you should do to actually ensure you get £22 and to watch a film for nothing:

Click through quidco
Signup at lovefilm site to £3.99/month package
Add 10 films to your list
When first film is sent to you, delete the remaining 9 films from your list
Send film back as soon as you get it
Cancel after 10pm online so you don't have to call them
Get £22 cashback

To complete the trial all you have to do is rent 1 dvd and send it back, you don't need to start paying. It states this in the terms on the quidco page.
Mine is all done and validated and I didn't pay a penny.

Just signed up to the free trial, not quite sure how it works but giving it a go!
I've got 10 dvds in my list, do I just wait and see which one they send me? How long do they usually take to send one out?
  • £22 or £18 cashback?:

Please read the following before proceeding:

*The £22 cashback offer will track in at £18 and be corrected upon validation. If you use a promotional code in conjunction with this link you may not receive your Quidco cashback.

Brilliant - I'll just order one film then, and then cancel.

Incidentally, as of Feb 25, Aldi is doing a 19 inch LCD, HD ready TV for £140 - including a three-year warranty and, most importantly, it has HDMI input, which means you can connect it to your computer and watch films for free
