hi all i previously got tickets for the 1st show at bury last week, it was very good but he was nervous and it wasnt a free flowing talk like on dvds as he was racking his brain on what he waS GONNA SAY, VERY funny though (me n my mate were the ones from Nottingham who threw the beach balls on at the start)
Anyway got 2 more tickets this am for thursday 9th at lowry salford, absolutley delighted to get to see him at even smaller venuue this time, i think its around 150 seats judging by the Lowry website seating plan! hoe its first come first served again seating wise!:T:T:T:T:T
  • with the Bury gigs, has he been signing autographs afterwards ?? only asking because me and the hubby saw Al Murray last year in Southport and he signed autographs after the show.

I cant wait to go on Thursday, not shut up about it all day in work :D Been threatened by my manager to make me work so she could take my place lol :P
Got married on 1st August

re bury gigs, me n my mate wanted to see him after for pics an autograph but we were out really quick and i think he did an Elvis and left as soon as he went offstage
He was on for about 30 mins 1st half then around 45mins 2nd half, when his phone went that was his timer!
Well worth the excitement specially when its such a small venue!:j:beer::T:rotfl::);)
  • thanks for that, fingers crossed with this being a smaller gig than Bury (and if memory serves me right in the Lowry studios there is no proper stage) then he will stay on after (Ill start saying me prayers now)

Hi, what time did you start queuing. What time did he finish, we are thinking of reserving a table at the automatic
ACII and Chartered so now I can focus on learning to play my beautiful Sax. 🎷

we sat in yates bar opposite the met at bury and watched the queue start to take shape

we walked over at about 7pm as they opened the doors

we went in side and they then allocated the seats. we were sat in row e so there were about 40 in front of us in the queue

we then left the theatre, back to yates and went over at 730 in time for the show which lasted about 30 minutes first half and 35/40 second

    show finished about 940

Did they give you a ticket stub to say which seat you were allocated,
so that you could leave the theatre and go back?

    yes they did

we went to the counter with my name and credit/debit card and they then allocated you a ticket with your seat, so if you are first in the queue you will be front row!

you can then leave the theatre as you have your ticket and go back when ready, easy

row 5 was perfect, and you can drink beer in the theatre, even better (apart from magners was 3.60 a pop)
