Sorry you'll have to knock Mars Bar off your list - they are and always have been American.

I worked for Mars for many years and they are owned by the Mars family - Forest Mars Sr was sent to the UK in the early thirties and he set up in Slough and produced the Mars Bar. It was his sons, daughter and one of his grandsons that I knew and met many times.

Oh never mind, they still taste good !

    And?????

We still recieve the net income flows and they are higher than they would have been had they used a UK workforce with all its demands for maternity and sick pay, health & safety and oooman rights.

It's utterly natural UK manaufactuirng is done abroad, and until MSE types stop shopping around, that will never change (no doubt you are pleased with a bargain which will often have been possible because of cheap labour).
