Mot avisory

Options
Hi, I have just had an Mot advisory notice for my Toyota Yaris (Y reg, 1.0 engine) - it said that 'coil pack number one is loose', I was told at the garage that this wasn't a safety issue, just for advicem but I am concened that I might need to get this fixed urgently, or can I live with it a bit longer?

Get it fixed,it will be cheap as the thing is working (or it wouldn't have passed the emissions test). A bit concerned that the MOT tester saw fit to abuse the advisories section with something like that though.

Not a testable item but a fault could cause a misfire or inefficient combustion which could damage the cat or cause increased emissions.

The coil pack is in basic term where the energy is "stored and built up" before being sent to the spark plug (where it sparks and ignites the fuel, causing the engine to turn over)

I believe that it modern cars it also has an input into spark timing but dont quote me on that one.... (doesn't affect either of my motors...)
Proud of who, and what, I am. :female::male:
