Gable end wall

Can my neighbour have pipes, vents and cables protruding from his extension wall that is on the boundary line?
Already has gutters overhanging, now he's added toilet overflow pipe (which drips onto our car, which is parked on our drive)

Your neighbour should not have built up to the boundary line without your permission as per the Party Wall Act.. If they were planning on fitting soffits/fascias etc then it should be set back sufficiently to account for these.

At this point you might be best to see a solicitor

Happened to a friend of mine with a gas flue, he had him in court lickety split. So the answer is no.

Be carful about the gutters as they might have got permission for those in the past so check them out.
  • Hi

Was your friend successful in getting the gas flue moved?

I contacted my planning office, they came and looked but said there was nothing I could do about it!

Other things have since 'sprouted' from their wall, sometimes over-flowing/dripping onto our drive.

It would be very 'unfortunate' if 'something' was to block up any dripping pipes overhanging your property...

Your planning office will have nothing to do about this, it is not their problem.

He certainly got it removed but it was via his solicitor in the end.

    Thanks,

Do you know if there's a time limit about complaining? We did not take it any further, but now we're thinking of moving, just wondering could it affect property sale?

Treat it like an overhanging tree, you can cut the branches off as long as you throw them over into his garden.

Cut the pipes off and chuck the bits over the fence (might want to park somewhere else for a while :) )
