Have a good holiday. It's important to have fun. As long as you save money in the long run!

Well nothing was gonna stop you was it! I don't think you have got a grip on reality yet, and I got into debt for the same reasons as you, thinking 'yer, I'll pay it back, I need to have fun'. Believe me, you'll regret it in a couple of years or so when you go to buy a house and get refused by a few mortgage lenders because of your unsecured debts.

So enjoy the holiday now, but when you come back, seriously seriously think about starting to pay back some money.

I'm still paying for a £1500 holiday from 3 years back, bascially because I've moved the debt on and on thinking 'it will go someday'.

The not being able to get a house stopped me, I have become a hermit and paid off 7k debt in 3 months.

I now have my mortgage offer.

How are you going to get money for clubbing, transport, drinks, food? Ibiza is a costly holiday once your there.

Enjoy it, but at least in true MSE fashion, get yer monies worth out of the drink and keep it down instead of leaving it on the pavement!!

i'm not worried about trying to get a mortgage in a few years time, as i know it aint gonna happen anyway
but thanks for the replies everyone!
    xx

just one more thing before you go on holiday. you can get a 2 bed house or flat now in kettering etc - 50 mins from london - right now for £80k, well affordable to a graduate with a smalld deposit. so it IS worth paying off those debts and saving up a little - think about it......
