Free Laptops with mobile phones !!!

Hi all
Could anyone tell me, if this is a rip-off or a good deal?
my son is going to uni in sept, i want to get a laptop, for him anyway.
pleases advise. !!!!

    Nothing is free really.

    When you sit and work it out, you could have bought a laptop for the money you are paying in monthly contract fees and still had a phone with the same talktime and texts..
  • These types of deal usually mean you get a "not very good" laptop specification wise, usually very slow machines that aren't any good at multi tasking.

    Also, as CHR15 says it might well work out cheaper to just get the laptop seperately and buy a phone too. That rule also applies to the 3G internet dongle contracts you can get from the mobile networks.
