Yes for me, I want to be quicker than my last half, which was incredibly slow (so shouldn't have a problem beating it) My long run last weekend was 9 miles so I know Im not too far off the distance. Do you run over the 13 mile distance in training? What max should I do 14-16?

Okay so take a rough idea of what you would like to do, what you did last time and compare the training paces shown on the macmillian running calculator (its on google)

See what paces you are doing now - because honestly in 8 weeks you arent going to get much faster than you are already at the moment because improvements while in training are slow to show. Try to set a realistic target and think of it as a stepping stone to another half (or whatever) later in the year :). Your training paces should then be based around what the calculator tells you.

Distance wise - you'd be wanting to get to 16 if possible - that shouldnt be a problem with your muscle memory - so you would do 9, 11, 13, 13, 15, 16, 11, 8 for your long runs (or something like that) and then that should see you through. You'd be looking to run them at any pace as long as you get through the distance. If you find your coping with the workload on that you can introduce a fartlek or tempo session instead of one of your easy runs but its not necessary really - you should get great stamina improvement which then over the shorter distance should improve your pace (but maybe not in time for race day).
