HP F380 All In One Printer Blocking me Printing with refilled Cartridge

Please Help, My HP Printer is blocking me Printing with my refilled Cartridge even though it works when Printing a test page.

It just says that it has error with Cartridge yet earlier this week it was working fine with out old PC and we have just bought a brand new PC and installed the latest drivers etc from HP site. Now a HP Solution Centre window opens saying Error Cartridge incorrectly installed. This is with Colour Cartridge yet it works if i print test sheet or run cleaning.

Please Help is there anyway I can turn off this Auto checking of Cartridges as it says how much ink is left in them and how many pages can be printed still

I Have Removed the Cartridge and Cleaned it but still says it is not there

I tried to use a refilled HP cartridge a while back and it worked fine for a few days but ...... following on from an HP automatic update it stopped working. (kept saying that a genuine HP cartridge was needed)

The man at the refill shop said that if HP updates it !!!!!!s up the cartridge and it's then no use ? I think it's done on purpose to keep us all buying genuine (expensive) spares from HP.

He also mentioned that if automatic updates are turned off you may get away with it although you may miss something important ? He said maybe if the cartridge is not installed when an update takes place it may still work after the update ? (manual updating I guess)

I just didn't install anything HP. when I connect my Printer to my new PC, I let windows install it's own drivers. No HP Software on my PC.

And where do you think Microsoft get their latest 'low level' hardware drivers for HP printers....
