i think its 24 hours notice, and you can refuse them entry if they havent given any.
regardless of what the contract says, there are statutory rights about this thing that will overrule any contract terms.
they can only let themselves in without notice in certain circumstances (e.g. emergencies). still, if they keep ignoring the law, short of changing the locks, there isnt much you can do about it.
they could even try to argue that lock changing is property damage and then you open up a bigger can of worms.0 -

I would concurr with the notice being legally statutory, regardless of what the agreement says.
A lot of standard tenancy agreements etc are worded to this effect on the basis that many tenants don't know their rights in detail, but when challenged certain parts of the agreement become unenforcable.
I once knew an agent who served notice on a tenant to quit in 1 month, the tenant went to seek advice and the agent was contacted by the city council's housing advice debt and told in no uncertain terms that 2 months notice was necessary. She (the agent) admitted to me that she knew very well what the law stated, she just hoped the tenant wouldn't have known. I used this agent for one of my properties in Plymouth - and regretted ever meeting her.
