Cheap train tics required 28/4/10 Leics to Stansted Airport
Options
Hi all,
I´m hoping someone can help me with this. I´ve just managed to find reasonably cheap flights for us to come back to the UK for my son´s birthday. I´ve been able to find cheap rail tickets from Stansted to Leicester when we arrive in the UK but am having a problem finding cheapish tickets for our return journey.
We need to be on the 06:11 train on 28th April travelling from Leicester to Stansted Airport. The cheapest fare I´ve been able to find is 40.50 per adult. There will be 2 adults travelling and one child of 3 (I don´t think we can do the family railcard as he´s under 5)
If anyone can find us a cheaper fare I´d really appreciate it:D

There is no miniunum age for a Family Railcard, it is only required that a child ticket is brought.0

Great, so I can purchase a family railcard and ´use´ my under 5 as the child? After reading your post Timothy, I took a look at the website for family railcards and it seems that as long as I purchase a child ticket for my son then we would be covered to use the card. Am I interpreting this correctly?

Also, this might help...

Simply buy the card online between Sun 7 Feb and Wed 31 Mar and enter the code promo25. Normally £26, this means you can get the card for £19.50.
