At this late stage, all I can suggest is that you get an early night and hope for the best tomorrow.

Most people have medical reports and have prepared for the appeal, its a very important thing and deciding to prepare now is far to late.

It cant mean that much to you.
  • it does mean alot, i just totally forgot about it as i thought it was gonna take longer for the tribunal, i just forgot to do a few things before it, but i see how it goes tomorrow, so what happens if they decide you're not fit to work and they put you on whatever group does the money get backdated from when u made the claim, or from the 14 week or the appeal

You would have had notice of the tribunal, you did have time to prepare. I don't think you realise that the burden is on you to prove that you meet the criteria, and if all that you have is your word against that of the medical practitioner you are going to struggle.

If you are found to be unfit for work your money will be backdated to the end of the assessment period (week thirteen). If you are found to be fit for work, you will need to claim JSA.

The minute we got my husbands failed medical letter we were very angry and we acted and within a month he was in the support group, thats the normal reactions to failing the medical and not "forgetting" about it.

Your reactions arnt typical for anyone suffering anxiety and deppression.
  • well i went to my tribunal think it went ok asked a few question they both wrote down quite a bit of info that i gave them when they asked, so i find out on Monday what the decision will be

Sometimes people avoid situations that they find too stressful and 'stick their head in the sand' whilst things sadly tend to get worse. I know I sometimes do this with situations I can't bare to think about. Different people react differently.

The decision is usually given on the day. I have read of people being sent the decision and it is usually that they have lost the appeal. It may not always be the case but I thought I would warn you.
