Has anyone ever used this site?

It is one of those where you book a hotel which doesnt give its name until booking (non-refundable) is complete. The spin is that by doing this anonymously hotels let their rooms go more cheaply than elsewhere.

I have searched on the website and think i can identify the "anonymous" hotel from its rating, amenities and the "usual rate" provided to show the size of the discount.

Just wondered if the site was any good, the saving is quite large and so i'm a little wary.

Yes, I have used this site a few times and have pleased with the results. I've not used it for a few years when I had success in Boston, New York, Orlando and Fort Lauderdale. Since then, I have tended to use Priceline when I've been happy to use an opaque hotel site.

I would recommend you check your guess that you have picked the right hotel on https://www.betterbidding.com where they list the hotels, star ratings, amenities that people have reported in each area. Hopefully the one you are looking at appears on this site.

THanks for that - i did use them and worked out ok - not the hotel i thought i'd identified but happy all the same. Hotwire even apolgised for being misleading with the hotel info when i pointed out how they had very much given an implicit impression of the hotel i had thougth it was.
