i think it is worth it if you will shop at least 4 times a year in The body shop- the card costs £5 but you can get a £5 gift on the month of your birthday so you're even but if you know you will shop 4 times at least, on the fourth time you can choose a gift for free worth £5 so you're in profit. and on the eighth time-gift worth £10.

however, trying to get SA's to stamp your card for online purchases may be tricky. I've done it 2 times for 2 online purchases and on the third purchase the SA refused. So worth considering that.

about the spends to get the free gift, is there a mimimum spend to get the £5 free gift on your 4th shop?
is it allowed if i get the card, buy stuff thats about £1 (liquid eyeliners) on 3 diff occasions?

  • Hi Thezib

I got my love your body card in the post today - the leaflet enclosed says you get:
    - 10% off all spends (online and instore)
    - up to £15 worth of free gifts with your 4th and 8th stamp - card gets stamped once for every purchase in store of £10 and over.
    - a birthday gift worth up to £5
    - invites to member events
    - member discounts

So I think you could use your card to get 10% instore off your smaller purchases then claim your birthday gift next month. Hope that helps ...

Would be interested to hear if anyone else has had any luck having online purchases 'stamped' on their card .

they cancelled my third order when i did three in one day but i just put it through again the next day, i have received all three now!

Thanks annette, we use OHs credit card for internet shopping so its really useful info to know about Bodyshop and we can make sure doesnt get card blocked. He had problem before xmas trying to buy a PAYG phone online, ended up with the fraud dept phoning him. Would not want that for doing too many Bodyshop orders!!! :rotfl:

I tried to place a third order today (all orders on the same day) and it won't accept my payment. I wouldn't mind so much but why take me to a screen that says it could be that there is a problem with my bank funds (this is not the case) and that i should contact my bank, when clearly, it is BS themselves who are rejecting the transaction?

I have had the same problem and I think it is BS who are at fault. To get around this I setup a new account and using the same credit card, used my office address for the billing and shipping details. It worked. I also tried just setting up a new account but using my home address and it didn't work, got the "payment not authorised" message.

Not everyone seems to be having this problem though. Some people have placed multiple orders under one account and others have setup more than one account but using the same billing/delivery address and card payment.
