Cashback dont bank on it

I took out car insurance with RAC via topcashback and followed all the links straight through for £70.00 cash back. When I checked on the site after a few days, in the help section I discovered that I could wait up to 3 months from the start of insurance for the cashback.

As that has just passed i have been looking itno why I have not got it and am having to get them to check it for me as over 100 days has lapsed since I took it out.

I intended to use the £70.00 towards a bill and now have to wait another 30 days to find out if I will get it all.

So dont bank on it until you get it! Frustratingly, I could have gone with another company for less if I dont get the cashback.

These cashback deals should only ever be used as a bonus, you shouldn't rely on them to budget your finances with.

It is entirely common to wait several Months to get the cashback.

The odds of a company being the very cheapest AND being able to offer £70 cashback are very very slim

Happens so often that cashback takes a good wee while unfortunately.

Not sure about Topcashback, but on Quidco Insurance deals you have to go back and enter your policy details to validate the transaction.

A few years ago I got my car insurance from the Post Office. It was a £50 cash back deal. They sent me the money very quickly with nothing to do on my part.
