We have just had our renewal policy for Homeserve's 5 Star Central Heating cover quoted as £229.99 per annum. Unhappy with the service they gave -apart from servicing the boiler- ( as they left us with pumps wrongly installed twice and frankly with overpumping heating, until we contacted our own plumber), I said we just wanted boiler annual service and cover. the cs operator seemed to go into babble mode, and wanted to put me through to the internet team (! I thought the point of internet sites was so you didn't speak to anyone). He did actually come back to me and said the price would be £250 per annum and I was getting a good price. I told him that frankly they weren't looking after loyal customers if their prices were so much more expensive than on-line.

Now I don't know what to do. God I hope a programme like Watchdog will expose these robbers. No wonder their profits are up by so much!
