I notice everyone talking about all the nail varnishes, wipes and blushers they are going to get, but no mention of whether these are the voupons that also offer £5 off No.7 for Men??0

This is a bit off-topic, but I know some long-time Bootsers must be in here.
Is it wise to give someone else your till receipt, like if you give an item you bought to someone and want to let them have the receipt in case they want to do a return? Or if you dropped a receipt in a store? I know at some point it was said there is personal information in the barcode along the bottom of receipts; I don't suppose there's any way someone could get your account info or credit card info? Now that I ask it, it seems silly, lol, and I seriously doubt anyone would try to do it anyway, but I only vaguely recall what was said about the info on a receipt and I'm curious.
There is nothing personal about you on the Boots receipt that anybody can obtain. When a refund goes through, if it was somebody else for example, they wouldn't have your Boots card. So the barcode on the bottom has the details of your Boots Advantage Card so that the system can be updated to how many points you actually have, however we cannot access any of your information, or even the cardholder name.0 -

The problem with this is, although the voupon usually says nothing about No7 for Men being excluded, the voupon usually beeps, and not in a good way. So you're really looking for your SA to be nice and override the voupon.0 -

Aye, they do, but the No7 for Men is pretty poor quality. The cheapest things are the shower gel and the face wash which work out at £1.50, but even then I don't think they're even worth that... with staff discount when I used to work there, the shower gel'd come out at 4p which is about right...
With the No7 voupon out practically every other sales period, and almost perpetually on 3 for 2 and GWP, do you never question the actual value of it all? The stuff has an absolutely HUUUUGE profit margin...0 -

It won't beep - the No7 voupons have always worked fine with the men's stuff. Unless it's got a clearance sticker on it, if it says No7, it'll have £5 deducted later.0 -

That's what I always think when someone talks about getting, say, 24 quid of merchandise for 11 quid because it was 342 and they had a voucher -- I'm thinking they probably got about 11 quid of merchandise for 11 quid, and the store still made a profit. There's no way Boots is giving a "free" third item or a "free" gwp, or failing to allow for a discount on a voucher that doesn't require a minimum spend to use! Oops, I mean voupon, lol.0 -

I remember when they started this codswallop. I loved their facewash, I can't remember how much it was originally, but I went in one time and the price had pretty much doubled. But they had a huge sign up saying BOGOF, and I thought, oh ok, still the same price then. Little did I know the mind tricks that were coming:p
I think I mostly used to consider their stuff reasonable quality and reasonable price. Now I think, you'd be crazy to pay full price for anything in there
