If it's working for you then ... - don't knock it
I'm sure every Insolvency Practitioner's will have SOME black marks against them for whatever reason ... some more than others perhaps but any reputable firm are in their position for a reason - it's a highly regulated industry so those companies that shouldn't be there shouldn't stick it out for too long ...0 -
Sorry Trudij but yes!
(Na just kidding - out of their thousands of clients there must be at least one other like you!)

Law of averages had to be at least one, bet you look forward to your 12 month reveiw, oh sorry it's 6 with them ,still as you love chatting to them it's a bonus. Good luck if you can't have a laugh you'd cry. I do really wish you well no one wants to be in debt of any kind.0

I do like my 6 month payslip sendings actually - it helps me work out where I am better than if it was only once a year I sent them off!! I know exactly what Im going to be asked for at the end of the year as the half of my overtime payment, and they've only review my payments once a year - so I really dont get why you're insist on telling people that they do 6 monthly reviews - thats simply not the case. The few times Ive had to ring them they have been helpful and only once have I not had a call returned the same day if Ive needed one.
They went through everything with me before I took mine out - and when my account manager rang me just before my proposal went forward,he again went through everything with me and checked that I didnt want to go bankrupt - in fact, he made a point of telling me that br DOESNT have the same stigma it used to,so if that was all that was stopping me going br, then I really shouldnt worry.
Ive nearly finished - Im on 4 and a half years of hassle free (even when I was laid off a couple of years ago - wouldnt have been a problem, luckily for me I walked practically straight into another job and didnt need to find out!!) IVAing with them - and dont hesitate to tell people how great I have found them. (you lot may have spotted that!!!!) I can however appreciate that I probably am an easy person to deal with - Im so greatful that its all under control again that Im happy for them to take their fees(so no whinging there for how much of the money I give them they end up with) - Im single (so none of these "joint" problems that seem to be rearing their heads at the moment) and I have no "assets" as such. I do,however, have a strong need to pay back as much as I can - to aleviate my concience if nothing else, also I have non-employment reasons to not want to be br.(its not just jobs that can be affected)
Its just a shame in life that the many happy customers (of any type of business) dont mention it, and the odd one or two that feel agrieved, make sure everyone hears about it !!!Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup0 -
You make a number of valid points there Trudi
Not long to go now for you :T0 -
Four and a half years? But that means you've only half a year to go....
I hope you'll not be leaving us then!Would you ask the wolves to look after the sheep?

No your not TrudiJ - I have had an IVA for 21/2 years now and like many of you am now at the half way point on what I believe is a well managed service by Blair Endersby.
I had a recent query and spoke to a young lady at Blair who helped in every way she could and the subject of 'wage reviews' came up. She explained that an annual wage review was a legal requirement as part of my IVA and the terms in which I have to pay excess earnings were clearly explained in my proposal.
To HELP their customers, Blair Endersby do this at 6 monthly intervals as they do not want to have to ask for a large payment at year end when , and lets be honest, we may have spent it!!
It is diciplines like this that have helped me stay on track with no year end suprises and I am greatfull for all the help I have had.
Why are people bothered about 6 month reviews? Perhaps its this lack of desired dicipline and structure that led to being in debt in the 1st place - I know mine was!!!!
