Firstly I assume that you have no debt?

Have you been in emergency credit, or down to zero credit?

The meter is programmed to charge the two tiers, but not in the easiest to understand way, but over a quarter you need to pay for 670 kWh at the higher price.
If you go into emergency, then it only charges at the lower price (to make it last longer), then recovers any difference when you next top up - 1p equates to less than 1kWh (don't have the T1 & T2 prices to hand).

Sometimes this recalibration can be seen at 2am in the morning and takes ~30p (again, depending on the difference between T1 & T2).

If you don't use any gas for 1 day, then even though you have used no more gas, you now need to have used 1 days more Tier 1 than before to be on target for the quarter.

    Have I confused you now?

    (I work for BG)
  • Do your self a favour get on a single rate tariff, much simpler on prepayment
  • CHeers,

I am staying with BG and on my current rates as price compare sites say the new BG rates on click will be same as if i was with Ebico due to the new price changes on BG

Compare site says i will say 74p going with Ebico
