I've just had my first proofreading query from RE. I've been expecting it for 3 days as I've lost the receipt. Annoying as it's a station job so fairly well paid (in RE terms haha). Anyone have any experience of a lost receipt with RE? I know gap give you 3 strikes.0

Hi, I used to take a number of jobs with RE but as many peeps have said lately, the time needed to complete the whole shop is just not worth it. I refuse to work for them now.
I released my last job after I wrote a full narrative of the visit and forgot to copy and paste. I saved the text but it didn't save on their silly system. I gave their ears a bashing via email and released the job even though I had completed the visit. I refuse to work for peanuts.......
See my situation makes it a good deal for me. Gone out on my lunch break and done a Clothes shop. Got two very nice tops which was the full amount of reinbursment.
Can do my report at work while doing my real work (not a problem) and i'm plus two tops for summer.
This clearly isn't for everyone, especially those who make a living from it, but for me this trip was ideal.I get what i want. That isn't because i'm a brat or spoilt. It's because i'm determined, i work hard for it and i achieve my goals!0 -

'Fraid so... I lost the receipt for a pub meal I did for them. I had proof of visit as I'd paid by card, but they wouldn't accept that as a receipt. Had to re-shop it so was quite out of pocket in the end! It may depend on the retailer - this one did specify clearly in the brief that you would not be paid without a receipt.
But you never know, they may let you off with a slapped wrist!!!0 -
I agree that the reimbursement only shops are good for many shopper. It's the length of time it takes to complete the report that gets me angry. The constant request for comments even on positive answers is just ridiculous.
I do reimbursement only jobs for companies whose reports don't take forever or have as many system failures as RE.0 -

Hi,
Is the shop local? you could nip back and ask for a duplicate saying you need it for the company expenses etc.
I've done this before and had my duplicate accepted.0 -
Couldn't see any of the alerts mentioned today either, apart from the pharmacy ones which I missed out on. Far too slow.0

15mins each way = 30 mins
"trying" to submit report = 45 minutes
Will have to get back to you all when I receive a response to my query and can attempt to submit report again. Anyhow at the moment my hourly rate stands at £4 per hour.
Travel time = 30 minutes
Shop visit + photo = 30 minutes
Report entry (so far) = 45 minutes
1.45 so far and I've not even finished yet. This shop is paying their minimum fee which I'm sure you're all familiar with. What a joke!
I had no idea the report would be so lengthy! They want a comment for every question and answer.
As I haven't done an RE assignment for over a year I had no idea what I was in for. Will definitely be staying away from them in the future again.0 -

It's comical, I hear they have just overhauled their report system too........to make it quicker....:rotfl::rotfl:0 -
So you did a shop you didn't want to do -with a company you didn't want to work for (incidently preventing anyone who did want the job from getting it) just so you could moan some more ?
Sorry I think you either have too much time on your hands or are insane !!
You don't want to work for RE fine.....but do you have to keep telling everyone ? Some people happen to like their jobs or CAN make them work within their MS framework-obviously not you-but so what -does it honestly matter to you that much what other people do ?
And yes I've got 4 airport jobs to do for them this week -and another from another MS company. I'll do the reports whilst on my plane (in air internet in the US is wonderful) and be pleased I did as it paid my fares to the airport and provided more food than I could want-so in this instance it fitted with my schedule and I honestly never have the problems you describe submitting-but even if I did and it took a while longer-I'm sure the flight attendent will bring me another G&T to keep me goingI Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole
MSE Florida wedding .....no problem0 -
I think it's okay to advise other potential new Ms'ers about a company that clearly don't meet the standards of the majority of MS companies.0
