I am currently on PAYG...shocking I know! I am looking to finally coming into present and getting a phone for MS that I can check the internet on during the day when I'm in my 'normal day job'and hopefully pick up more jobs.

Need to be on the Orange network due to others having 'carp' reception in my area. I know i'm a tight cow but I'm looking to spend a MAXIMUM of £25 a month. i'm assuming if I keep my current PAYG phone I can claim the contract one against tax for MS purposes? Any ideas which phone would be best?

Sorry for long post, it's been a frustrating day:mad:

Hubby has a nokia touch screen jobby but i don't like using touch screens as I'm so heavy handed i've done 5 things just picking it up!

  • Hi all,

Just a quick question. Last weekend I got the train to a nearby town to do a couple of ms's, where on ukmonkey's spreadsheet would I enter this expense?

    Thanks!
    2019 will be my year!!

    check out carphone warehouse online
blackberry 8520 on Orange Panther deal, £25 for unlimited internet, email & texts and 400 minutes. PLUS they are doing £5 off a month OR a free xbox (I know what I'd choose! The £5 off!)

    I'll find the link

    ETA - here's the link http://www.carphonewarehouse.com/buy/BLACKBERRY-CURVE-8520-P25BT-FCON
but they seem to have got rid of the £5 off which is a shame cos I was gonna get it. I want the Violet one but not in stock!

    EDITED AGAIN - It's this deal http://www.carphonewarehouse.com/buy/BLACKBERRY-CURVE-8520-P25BT-C524
plus you can get £45 cashback from topcashback.

I'm gonna have a look in store tomorrow, if it's in stock again in 6 weeks will be perfect timing for when this contract runs out!

Have to laugh at this one, did some petrol for gyp yesterday, last minute ones and put on the report that the toilet was dirty...........well it was disgusting, the type were you want to heave..........anyway guess what, had THE email and been sacked from those type of jobs...........should have known really that you say something bad and you are gone :D never mind, lets see who will sack me next for doing the job properly and telling the truth lol..........
  • has anyone ever successfully re-registered with gyp after being sacked?? i know they say you cant but was just wondering!!:)

I haven't tried, but I don't think they take an NI number. So if you provide a different bank account, different email address, different postal address and different phone number you could probably get away with it. If you really wanted to.

Did the email explains what the reason why they sack you and BTW did you use in your report any word they might consider it unacceptable? It is silly of them to sack you for telling the truth.

A company that more or less forces you to turn a blind eye to real problems if you want paying and provides an excuse when sacking shoppers that sounds like they're investigating you for terrorism offences... But on the other hand, free pizza! I too am torn.
