I might be going slightly bonkers here but i applied for the new wave 'egg' jobs and i'm sure when i read the brief it said something like covert visit then back in to do overt audit - now they have the same brief as the first lot. Has it been changed or am I just confusing two different briefs?

I'm in the same boat, just been allocated 4 of these jobs today.....I see where the 'egg' reference comes from!

The brief I have is covert visit/staff query/purchase and return with item to complain.

Looking forward to MS'ing for a new company, they have assigned me 4 out of my 6 applications so going to give it my best shot!

There are slightly different jobs available for the same shops.. There were some with a covert visit and overt audit. So you're not going bonkers. Not yet anyway.
  • Hello everyone, ive done quite a few mystery shops now but cant really get very many mind you I am in North Northumberland,I was just wondering where abouts people on here are actually from, I dont mean street names and postcodes just roughly, am I the only mystery shopper in Northumberland, it does feel like it because whenever the rare job does come up close to me it normally goes to me.
  • i always do quite well with e** but just looked to see 3 of my 5 dissapeared out of applications. i cancelled the other 2 as there was a route of 3 which made it a decent little run, but not for the 2 left

    grrrrrrr:mad:

    Am I completely paranoid? :D

From the Borders, as the name says. And I have poached a couple of jobs in your area but not much and not often. Only if I can get enough jobs/fees at the same time to justify a run to the coast.

If you're not trying to make a full time job out of it, I've found being rural can work for you with some of the companies. They dont have any or many other shoppers, so you do ok. Plus I've had a few phone calls for jobs in isolated places where nobody's going to go for the normal fee. Quite happy to run 30 miles or more if the money's right.

On the downside there are some companies that just never have any jobs in my area.
