Well just had my first burger query from Gap. Would guess they're disputing the timings. They were quite slow, given the place wasn't busy. We'll see how it goes.0

I find it incredibly annoying when all they do is dispute the timings. They have CCTV so they can bloody well check the timings themselves! I'd understand if they questioned the actual customer service, but timings just annoys me.0 -
aw great! I don't mind doing a home takeaway one but I'm not paying for parking in town for that job!
Just got excited as well cos it was one I might have been able to do!
Typical
You'll get used to it as you get more experience. You learn which jobs are worth taking and which ones aren't.
When I started I was quite happy to travel 10 miles total to do one job which might have only paid me £5, now I'm a lot more selective about what I pick up and will try to get a couple in the same area.0 -

Not sure what their target times are, but looking at my times they were 3 seconds over x minutes in total. That 3 seconds might be significant and could be why they're disputing it. As they only have one shop within 35 miles of me it wouldn't really be a big deal if I got dumped from doing them.
I hate the doubting myself more than anything else. They've now got me thinking 'did i misread the time?' Even though I'm sure I didn't.0 -

I did my first burger job yesterday. The questionairre questioned my timings as they were faster that the norm. Tbh, there was no queue and it was all over before 2 minutes. Isn't that what they are looking for?I aspire to be mortgage free by July 2014 :staradmin0 -

I've just set up a spreadsheet and added Monday's job - if I use the HMRC mileage of 40p then I only made a few quid after tax! In reality it was more cos I had a courtesy car that morning and it oviously doesn't cost 40p a mile. I have now picked ones closer together so have 3 on one side of town & 2 on the other.
New to this SE lark so am assuming that I take the mileage off the fee then I would get taxed on what was left?????A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea
Where does the time go? :think:0 -

You're taxed on your profit. You're allowed expenses including your mileage. The first page gives another few expenses you can include. Printing costs at 6p per sheet is the next most obvious. Haven't yet filled in a tax form so can't speak from experience but there has been good advice on the thread previously.0 -

If this was in the questionaire its just a standard question.. if they really query your timings you will get an email.. although as long as you respond with your original timings, i've never had anything back from them...Christmas 2020 £109

Is there some magic trick required to self assign? I got the email today saying that the mystery shopping fairy had granted one of my wishes and I was allowed to self assign on esa. I just added four jobs to my applications.......and thats where they remain. Most odd......Working my butt off to buy the house of my dreams!0
