I had to call them about an issue with a job so I asked about the self allocation (like others I thought I was special when I got the email, but evidently not). They said it has only been applied on one project so far, which must be the tea and coffee shops.

They did say that it should be up and running for other projects either this week or next. I'm not that sure about it myself, as it will be back to fastest finger first like Gap and RE.

Just looking at RE and noticed before some of you mentioning poor fees!

There is an electrical store job on there and no fee! Is that right?!!

So I go and do a job, make a purchase and get reimbursed?
I don't need anything from that shop so what is the point of doing it if there is no fee!

Where does the time go?

That sums it up. Only worth it if you were going to get something from the shop that you need.

Yes, if it's the shop I'm thinking of, some stores appear with small fees and some don't. I did one last year with quite a good fee (for RE) and no reimbursement but sadly they don't seem to do that anymore.

    Hi thanx for the info,
The interesting bit is that I have 1 of these jobs pending as I applied for it @ the weekend.
So I can safely assume it'll stay pending till a self allocator comes along & takes it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So it looks like you apply for the Tea & Coffee jobs, they go into your pending & they (ESA) then decide who they really want to do them (which is not me) by allowing people to self allocate, for jobs they haven't already applied for.
I can't work that out it is giving me a ' HEADACHE'

I have done loads of jobs for ESA in the past, but I have not got the self-allocation email.

Funnily enough, I have one of the historical jobs sitting in my account waiting for me to accept it.... I might have a one woman protest and just leave it sitting there. (although, that will no doubt go against me)
    :(

does anyone doing an esa history job know if you are supposed to approach a member of staff yourself if you are not approached? not very clear- just says you need a scenario in mind to describe if approached. but then questionnaire still has questions without a n/a response. i was not approached but i did ask a question eventually so i can do it either way. just need to know how to fill in the report!
