  • Lol, I had that paranoia yesterday. I had just completed a coffee shop and was killing time until I could ms another shop as that could only be done after 10am. I entered Superdrug and started browsing around the make-up only to be approached by an assistant asking if I required any assistance! Never had that before in all the time I have been to their stores and I'm not even sure if any company conducts visits to there. However, I was so sure I had been sussed as a mystery shopper even though I was off duty so to speak!

I went into a shop yesterday to do an overt jewellery audit and I could tell by the reaction of the woman I was talking to that the member of staff behind me was making hand signals and trying to tell her something. I gave her my letter of authority and explained what I was there to do. The MOS from behind me said 'are you the mystery shopper then?' I said no I was just there to check the cleanliness and stock levels on the jewellery stands but she was so suspicious I had to double check the brief to make sure i wasn't supposed to do a mystery shop first!

Gosh there's alot of little green lights on this afternoon.

Are we all busy writing reports or just waiting for something exciting to happen?

I had an MS shop once with a return and reveal for audit.

The cocky assistant said "I thought you were". I was a little taken aback and asked what gave me away and she proudly said "Oh, I'm just so experienced I can spot them a mile off".
I chuckled when I was writing up my report as there were so many things she had forgotten to mention....sussed me out? No I don't think so!

I know what we're all doing!

    Crisps!

Anyone else marvel at just how long it takes a person/family to stand and decide what pack of crisps they are going to purchase? The choice on the shelf that they stare open mouthed at for well over 5 minutes has all of 4 varieties on it yet they cannot engage the brain cells to select!

I wait patiently; they finally decide;they slowly wander off; I am poised with camera.....some kid thinks he can run past before I click...

Just make sure that you have the firewall on in Windows and you should be fine. You should be able to access your email on Webmail. Which email provider do you use?

Unfotunately,a firewall can only stop a hacker getting into your computer, it cannot prevent him snatching your confidential information out of the airwaves. Without good WPA encryption, the only safe option is a program like Comodo Trustconnect which uses an encrypted Virtual Private Network. I'm not recommending the Comodo program, as I have not used it and don't use wifi, but the company has a good reputation.

I've found these quite straightforward. Often there is no-one to ask but when there is they've always been quite happy to answer the 4 questions. I usually wait outside for 5 minutes, maybe a bit longer if I saw someone waiting for a prescription, as you know they are coming out soon.

If there is no-one to ask, you can just put NA.

There was one where I ended up pursuing a poor man down the street, fortunately he did stop and was happy to talk to me but was telling a friend afterwards and she pointed out that he could have thought I was after his drugs .

I'm convinced the same little old lady was in the crisp aisle of all 10 stores I did this week, in one she accosted another old dear and they had a 5 minute discussion as to which were the best of the ones on BOGOF.

And WHY, when people see you poised to snap, do they hesitate, stop .. and, just as you push the shutter, they decide to do a sprint in front of you?!!!!
