I have just bought a 1 bedroom flat, i was thinking about getting rid of the bath and just having a shower, toilet, sink in a wetroom style......... question is when i come to sell it in 3 years time will the fact that there's no bath put potential buyers off?

This subject was posted only recently . I think the conclusion was
'think of your potential ( future) buyers.
Your idea works ( for you
) well in a one bed room flat but fails in a family

Who can say what is in the mind of a prospective purchaser. Some people like baths some like showers. Do you want to spend 3 years with something that you would prefer not to have, just on the off chance that a prospective buyer might not like what you have done. You only need one buyer to like it, after all. If it was me I would have what I wanted.I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.0 -

Well to strickly answer your question. Yes you do need a bath in your bathroom or it cant be called a bathroom! ;-P
But seriously, if you want a wet room style wash room, go for it. Three years is your current plan but you may be there for longer. It is far to early to think about potential buyers! A basic bathroom suite only costs about £200 anyway so its no big deal if you decide to change it when your ready to sell.YNWA

It wouldn't put me off one bit, then again the fact our house has a wet room is one of the reasons why I liked it when we bought it.It's not easy having a good time. Even smiling makes my face ache.0
