AA Breakdown Cover - How far an the garage be ?

Hi, been searching, googling etc and cant find the answer ! our car is currently broken down, prob with engine...anyways had it checked out by local garage but it needs to go back to the original dealers garage which is about 25 miles away from us. Does anyone kow if the AA roadside/breakdown cover would still include that distance ???many thanks for all answers !also glad for any other advise on how to take as car not driveable long distance as its in safety mode so wont go over 30mph nad the dealer wont come to pick it up...warranty will only pay for repair if done at the dealer.what a nightmare!!:mad:

Has it already been recovered by the AA? If not I can't see why they wouldn't attend and recover for you - do you have the recovery element to breakdown cover which allows recovery of you and car to anywhere in the UK?

Hi, no just got roadside, not reply, had roadside assistant but they couldnt fix it

Then you will need to arrange for a breakdown vehicle to transport your car to the dealership.

According to their T&Cs the car "will be taken to the AA’s choice of relevant local repairer or to a local destination of Your choice, provided it is no further;"

If you have the basic roadside cover they will not come to your home address, so will have to drive a mile or so, then call them, then explain the situation and they may or may not tow you to the garage.

Does the warranty not cover an amount for recovery, mine did, about £75 I think.
