Mirrorworld Lecira

Just wondering has anyone else had problems with this company? I have ordered a made to measure mirror from them. They failed to deliver on the date agreed, despite three phone calls(from them) to confirm delivery. No contact from them, when I called they said "it wasn't quite ready to go on the van" days later they admit they do not have the materials with which to make the mirror, and "may" have them at the end of March.
I have asked for a refund, but they say "no".
I have claimed under section 75 on the credit card, but they have 45 days to deliver. Today they are threatening to send us any old mirror as they reserve the right to replace the mirror with a "similar" one.
They have had my cash since 14th Jan.

Please let me know if you have had a similar experience/if there is something I could do that I haven't thought of.

  • I have had a very similar experience - at first they said the order was on its way, then they said they did not have the materials. I have paid 200 pounds

    I have told them I will take court action but am also hoping my credit card will cover the cost.

    I am assuming they are either a fraudulent business or in financial distress.

    Could you let me know if you did eventually receive your money back?

  • Just came across this thread as we have also made the mistake of ordering from this company. After nearly 2 months of chasing our order the excuses started wearing thin. We then asked for a refund and they have yet to do this over a month later.

    Email is their preferred contact method and a woman called Helen (helen@lecira.co.uk) provides the unconvincing excuses and promises that this will be looked into.

    We are in the process of recovering our money through the credit card company but I am also looking into which organisations can take action against this company.

    If anyone else has a similar experience of this company please let us know.
  • Ive been waiting on a credit from them for 2 months....Helen says that the" accounts dept.," will be in this week...sounds like a 2 man business to me..I need advice too as I paid debit card
  • Unfortunately you wont get your money back, we were lucky enough to recover ours through the credit card company.

    We had the same excuses from Helen, these people will steal your money and provide no goods or refund.

    I reported this to trading standards and I would urge other people to do the same.
  • I purchased a £99 light woo frame mirror and it was damaged and faulty on delivery, I was not able to report this via the telephone (no reply) so I e mailed them within an hour of unpacking. The item was not as described, also the frame was scratched, and the mitred joint on one corner did not meet. They agreed to repair the product, to which I agreed, so long as it was done to my satisfaction. They collected the mirror, and on receipt, they e mailed me to say they could find nothing wrong with it, and the faults I had pointed out were due to the fact that it was a natural product! They said my expectation was too high!!! I wish I could attach photos on this site, so people could see the poor quality of the work.

    Anyway they have agreed a refund two weeks ago, and I am yet to receive this, so it is now in the hands of the credit card company, I am sure I will get my money, but want to warn people of this companies poor quality products, and very poor customer services. There is simply no way to even speak to anyone, they only people who will answer the phone is the sales department, and they will not discuss any problems with you.
