Problems with BT's online bills
Eydon
Just got my latest bill online. Showed usage charges of £3.01. That seemed high (since I use 1899 and 18185 for anything other than 0845/0870). When I drilled down into the details it showed all my calls but they only totalled £1.59.
Just got off the phone with BT and it appears that the difference is due to four ringback requests (must have words with Mrs Eydon). It seems that these appear on the paper bill (which the operator could see), and appear in the total bill online, but not the cost breakdown that is shown online.
When I asked how this could be resolved, she suggested I switched back to paper billing (and so lose the £1.25 discount each month). Nice.
Now I know it's only £1.41, but c'mon BT - get your act together. Surely you should be able to get the bills consistent - or perhaps I expect too much
Anyone else noticed any other inaccuracies?
EDIT: ok - I've just noticed you can actually download the paper bill (pdf) and I can see the ringback charges on there - 35.7p each (ouch).
