Where is my address - E.ON?

I tried to switch last night, but my address is not in the drop down list, when I search by postcode. We changed the name of our house 2 years ago, every other company/authority has the correct address listed in their drop down lists.
Why not E.ON?
There is not an option to manually enter your address.
I have contacted E.ON.

Hi emeraldbugle,
If the address isn’t on the drop down when going through the quote tool, then it must not be on our address database, sorry about this.
Unfortunately I don’t know where our address database takes its information from. Wherever it is, it can’t have been updated with your new property name.
If you email me with the address, I can create the address in our system so you can then quote successfully through the website.
Alternatively we can carry out the quote over the phone.
I’d be interested to check this as well to see if the national electricity and gas databases have the new address information.

The electricity meter point address is not mastered by the suppliers but by the Distribution Business. If PAF has not recorded the change of name then the distributor won't update their records.IT Consultant in the utilities industry specialising in the retail electricity market.

It seems Scottish Power may be to blame. They had my correct address two years ago, but failed to update their system until recently. Maybe it will filter through soon, but it is sooooo annoying.
Brian - Thanks will email you.0 -
