  • Just a thought - have you tried local universities/colleges? Some of them have some impressive social space that could be hired. If they don't have bar facilities you could think about either hiring a mobile bar or asking a local pub if they could set up a bar for the night.

    I hadn't thought of this myself till a friend mentioned last week that she had been to a reception held at a local university and she said it was fab!
  • How about the Rose Brueford College? Its a drama school / University, which should have a student union - has some lovely grounds, website not working at the moment but could be worth considering?
