http://www.sidcupsportsclub.com/business-and-private-events-management.html (not sure that you can take your own catering)

http://www.clublangley.co.uk/hire.html (not sure how far away this is?)

http://www.springfieldldn.co.uk/functions/wedandspec.html (looks like you have to choose one of their two caterers)

Also showing is Christchurch Parish Hall (but no idea how big that is)

Why not look at Village Halls/sports & Social clubs etc.
Do you have a British Legion in Sidcup? They are usually pretty reasonable, and you'll be able to take your own food there.

The nearest community centre in Sidcup is North Cray Neighbourhood Centre.

There is also a golf course in Thamesmead for wedding reception hire, which is about 45 min drive on the 229 bus from Sidcup.

You can bring your own buffet for £50 and corkage applies.

  • Contact your local tourist information centre for advice, they'll have some suggestions on village halls etc.

Also, ring your caterers and ask them where they've catered before in the area!

Have ALL of those people replied to you already?
When you say you've "had no luck" - what do you mean? they're all busy? too expensive?
    Need more guidance really..!!!!

I'll agree with HelsBels then - go to Tourist Info and ask them. They are local and will know what is about.
Is it ESSENTIAL that you take your own food? I know we've discussed this before, but really - it might be cheaper to get the venue to do it (not to mention less stress)

Are there any football/rugby clubs near you? I am having a charity dinner in a rugby club in a few months, and they are allowing outside catering - if it wasn't a charity thing, then it would've been quite cheap to hire.

I wouldn't discount those venues who do their own catering though - if they have your date free, it can't hurt to get a quote, can it???
