Recommendations for decent MFP around £100

So, I know I am not going to get something that makes me the coffee in the morning :D
But it's a minefield! Need colour, does not need to be networked, print/scan/copy, around£100
Seen a few I like (do not mind wireless or USB) but reviews on all seem to be mixed, so if anyone has any personal reccs, much appreciated.:D
Thank you techie team. Your work with me is nearly done :rotfl::rotfl:

My personal choice would be Canon Pixma MP180 (or newer) because I have one myself and I love it.... Scanner, Copier, Printer, Memory Card reader all in 1. I think it's about £40 now at Argos, you can get better versions for ~£90 in Argos

However, I would recommend a model like Epsom, because they have better ink tank setups, they use seperate ink tanks which saves you money in the long run if you do heavy printing and change colours frequently..

Lexmark seems good and IIRC they make wireless printers if ever desired, but I don't know if they use multi-tank technology without looking into it

The Canon is a great printer, the cartridges are around £40 for a Black / Colour, around £15 black and £23 for colour, they last a good while depending what you set the ink levels on the printer. The software that comes with them has OCR recognition for the scanner and it's so simplistic to use, one touch panel for everything.... looks fairly neat too

BTW, Canon doesn't scan photo negatives, I believe you can get a duplexer for them to do double sided printing or manual duplexing...

Look at Steves Digicams.com website, it does LOADS of excellent reviews on all types of hardware, so if you find something you like the look of , look it up on there and read a detailed review on it including printer life, maintenance, ink costs, etc.

Just before Xmas I bought a Canon MP560, list price £150 but actually £89 if you look around. Most impressed in all areas. A bit long-winded to set up but the step by step printed manual is ideal and miles better than a PDF on a disc. Copy is one touch. Print quality excellent. Canon seem to be the choice for the reviewers these days.
