Hi All
The felt has gone on my shed roof and caused the boarding underneath to rot, so i need to replace it. Is the best way still new board and rolls of that ashpalt stuff, or is there a newer whizzy way these days???

If replacing with felt, I wouldn't use the cheapo shed felt from DIY stores, as it doesn't last. Go for the slightly dearer and better quality rolls.
You could use corrugated bitumen sheets, this looks quite good and will outlast felt by decades and isn't too expensive. I have used it on a couple of sheds and have found it easy to use, although it does take longer to put up, than felt.
My neighbour has clear corrugated plastic (mini profile) on her shed roof, which has been up for well over 25 years and is still fine, if rather cloudy.
Two years ago I replaced half my shed roof with compost bags (black side out) and they are still fine, I just tacked them down like felt. I didn't think they would last, as the felt usually gets damaged by the wind, but they have weathered well. I will probably replace the felt on the other side of the roof, in the summer.0 -

as a temp measure, i had some old (painted) OSB 8x4 board spare so used that.
