Tax Refund during IVA

Options
I am registered self employed, and so have to submit a tax return. In the tax year 2008-9, I also worked a few months under PAYE.

We started an IVA in about August last year, and when I submitted my tax return last month, it said I was due a refund of around £500 for the tax taken from my wages.

I had heard no more, so I rang them, and was told that there was a hold on it because of the IVA, and they are getting someone to call me back.

Has anyone been in a similar situation? What is going to happen to the money? Surely it wont be classed as a windfall, as it is money that was rightfully mine to begin with? I am obviously going to declare it to the IP - although presumably they are going to be notified by HMRC anyway? Will I see any/all of the money?
