Thanks for some great ideas and advice about the eiffel tour , Not sure if I will be able to convince my son it isn't worth the trip up the tower.

On the subject of Versailles, If you go there on Sunday afternoons they have all the fountains playing, accompanied by music from loudspeakers hidden in the undergrowth.

I think an ideal choice for a seven-year-old would be the City of Science and Industry in Paris. This is a bit like the London Science Museum, but more modern and with plenty of hands-on stuff for youngsters.

Thanks for this info , my son loved the science museum in London so this will be a real winner if it is very hot.
