Dentists fees

Just wondering how much it will cost,gulp. OH has a plate which has seen better days, and is time it was replaced. He seems to think he will get the few remaining top ones out and get a complete new plate. How much is this likely to cost, and does anyone have any tips for getting it cheaper? Hasn't been to the dentists in yonks, first problem will no doubt be finding one.

Hi Katy2 If you are looking for NHS treatment contact NHS Direct. They will advise if any dentists in your area are taking new NHS patients. You may be lucky! Whatever the result, ask friends, relations, acquaintances, which dentist in your area they would recommend. As to cost I don't know. Your friend should be able to get a quote for a no-strings-attached consultation by telephoning your local dental practices. Good luck

Hi PP thanks for your comments. The replies to this thread all seem to have been lost during the change over at the weekend. Strange, as there had been many helpful contributors with lots of good advice re pros and cons of private v NHS etc.
