I have a silver lloyds card that was issued after my BR, nothing special lol its a basic account, no overdraft or chequebook. Allows dd and standing orders. It has a visa logo on but its not an electron. Takes the cash out my account within micro seconds.
I have been asked for details for delivery before, so maybe thats how they realised that you have got a not so clean credit file. I wouldnt worry too much tho, imho most stores LOVE a shopper whos paying cash for an item and often offer discount (if you ask
) .
