Booked hotel through TravelRepublic, e-mail confirmation is for the wrong hotel!

Hi all,
I didn't know whether to post in here or the Travel board so please feel free to move if its the wrong place.
I saw a hotel on Travel Republic which I booked through their site.(for my honeymoon in 5 months). I booked about 3 weeks ago.
I was just checking my confirmation e-mail from Travel Republic, and the wrong hotel is listed in the confirmation e-mail. I've contacted them and havn't heard back yet as they're closed.
I am mortified as I've poured hours into researching this specific hotel of our dreams on Trip Advisor, but I didn't take any print screens of the hotel I clicked to book and the price on their website.
The hotel I want is listed as £2500 more than I paid for the same break on another site, and mysteriously disappeared from Travel Republic the day after I booked, to be replaced with the one listed in my confirmation e-mail.
Does anyone know where I stand please?

Do you actually have proof that you booked the right one? I'm not saying you have made a mistake but you may need some evidence here.0

No, I didn't take a screenshot.

Can't replicate it, the day after we booked, it mysteriously came down off the site, to be seemingly replaced by the hotel that it does state on my e-mail confirmation.
However what is interesting is that the hotel they now have on the site has some pictures and unmistakable details of the original hotel mixed in there.
No other websites except Travel Republic were offering anywhere near the price we booked at.0 -

I can't see any details of it anywhere! Panicking a bit now, called Travel Repubilc just and they're saying they need to speak to "hotelbeds" who they purchased the room from.
I couldn't be more certain though that there is no error on my part, as there was only one hotel of this class in our search results for the destination.0 -
you have the right to cancel, so just cancel it0

No, absolutely not. Your contract is with Travel Republic not any other supplier that they use. Therefore you should only deal with them. If they in turn talk to a third party about it, well that's none of your concern.0 -

Well that's what the OP said.Panicking a bit now, called Travel Repubilc just and they're saying they need to speak to "hotelbeds" who they purchased the room from.
I completely agree that the OP should deal with them, etc, given that advice myself, but I'm struggling to see the problem with them explaining to the OP what they are going to do next. Isn't keeping customers informed a good thing? If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything0
